Load Organizing

Skydive Elsinore offers free load organizing for Belly, tracking and wingsuit jumpers every weekend. The load organizers will plan the jumps for everyone’s fun, safety and success. A debrief occurs after each jump which includes a discussion of the skydive with an emphasis on not only the things that went right, but also about the items to work on.

For the load organizer schedule, please see our calendar of events

Formation Skydiving

Formation skydiving, also known as RW or relative work, or belly-flying, is the art of building formations and taking grips in freefall with multiple people.

Tracking/Angle

Tracking/Angle, also know as movement. “Movement skydiving” refers to any skydiving discipline where a jumper intentionally moves horizontally across the sky during freefall , rather than simply falling straight down, often including maneuvers like angle flying, where a skydiver flies at an angle to the ground to cover more distance, as opposed to a standard “tracking” jump where everyone stays relatively aligned after exiting the plane; essentially, it’s any type of skydiving that involves deliberate horizontal movement in freefall. Skydive Elsinore offers Load Organizers and camps for all levels.

Wingsuit First Flight Training

We have a range of Squirrel beginner and intermediate wingsuits from 5’6 to 6’1 including Squirrel Sprints for students to use during their First Flight Course. Please let us know if you lie outside that size range and we can try to arrange a suit in your size.

We encourage our students to progress as soon as they are safely able to fly the Swift which we offer for rent on a per-jump, per-day or monthly basis. If you know you want to continue wingsuiting, we will measure you for a suit of your own (delivery time is around 8 weeks).

We recommend using Wingsuit Specific canopies to our First Flight Course students. These ultralight canopies pack easily into containers at least one size smaller, allowing you to upsize for a safer wing loading (recommended 1.3: 1 or lower). A docile and non-elliptical may be used during the course as long as your wing loading is lower than the recommended ratio and you use a wingsuit bridle/pilot chute such as the Squirrel Snatch. Check with your Instructor if your canopy will be ok, before starting your course starts.

Our First Flight Course lasts for a full day and includes a comprehensive classroom briefing, followed by a minimum of four one-on-one coached jumps. It is designed to clear you for solo supervision and introduce you to the fundamentals of wingsuit relative work.
  1. A minimum of 200 skydives (required by the United States Parachute Association)
  2. A high level of currency (40 jumps in the last two months or similar) on your own gear
  3. A USPA B-license or equivalent
  4. docile main parachute, ideally a 7-cell, loaded at no more than 1.3:1. Examples include: Performance Designs Horizon, Spectre, or Sabre2; Squirrel Epicene; Icarus Safire; Aerodyne Pilot or Pilot7. If you don’t have your own, you can use one of our demos (subject to availability).
  5. BOC (Bottom of Container) deployment system
  6. Pilot chute in excellent condition, at least 28 inches in diameter with a lightweight handle. We recommend theSquirrel SkySnatch, which comes in 26-inch and 30-inch sizes. Because of the superior design, both sizes are acceptable.
  7. bridle between 7 and 9 feet in length (measured from pin to pilot chute)
  8. Visual hand- or chest-mount altimeter and audible altimeter
  9. Helmet (either full-face or open)
  10. AAD (Cypres, Vigil, MARS)
