Despite
low clouds almost the entire weekend, we still had a great turnout
for this Freefly Skills Camp. With little jumping, camp leaders Chris
Fiala, Andy Malchoidi, Andrew Staich, and visiting Guano Freefly took
advantage of the down time to talk theory with camp participants and
answer as many questions as possible. To keep spirits up, we rallied
the troops and a massive kick-ball game was ON in the main landing
area. It was a fight to the finish, with Andy nailing Curt at home
plate to foil his home run. With that momentum, Andy’s team
went on to win by 4 runs. Rock on with your bad selves. Sunday brought
more clouds, but also some holes and everyone got in a couple of jumps.
Given the weather, the bigger highlight of this weekend was most definitely
the wild and crazy costume party Saturday night. The theme was Come
As You Dare, and let me tell you, people dared. Bare asses, fake beards,
fake boobs, J-Tizzle, a sex-crazed nun, zombies with machine guns,
Keanu Reeves a-la the matrix, a sexy referee, and more— you
name it, people thought of it, and came out in force. Check out the
