SKYDIVE ELSINORE HOSTED BIRDMAN™ MANIA
June 28-30

BIRDMAN™ MANIA
Bird-Man owner and founder Jari Kuosma visited Skydive Elsinore on June 29-30 to play in the sky and take some local Bird-Man aficionados through the rigorous BirdMan Instructor course.

Most of the first day was spent in the classroom, as Jari discussed the various topics involved in teaching a beginner Bird-Man wingsuit flyer, from paperwork to emergency procedures to the differences between suit models. Instructor candidates then broke into teacher/student pairs and were coached as needed by Jari and Rob Tonnesen as they taught their first 'student'. Classroom was completed in time for a couple big-way fun jumps organized by Jari.

Saturday was an early start, with one-on-one, air-to-air coaching and evaluation of our instructor candidates. By the afternoon, Skydive Elsinore had four additional Bird-Man Instructors and now the highest concentration of certified Bird-Man instructors in the world. Congratulations go to course graduates Bill Stampfle, Scott Kivrizis, Joel Kiesel, and Dave Buddy, certified Bird-Man Instructors. Congratulations also goes to Skydive Elsinore's first Bird-Man Instructor and former super-model, Rob Tonnesen, who concurrently became the first USA based Bird-Man Chief Instructor, and one of only three Bird-Man Chief Instructors in the world. Skydive Elsinore is proud to host Bird-Man courses, from beginner through instructor certification. For more information about courses at Skydive Elsinore or your location, contact Rob Tonnesen at effinjump@aol.com
