Accelerated Free Fall (AFF) is an eight step progression designed
to train you to skydive. Your instruction will start with a five
to six hours of ground training, and you are ready for your first
skydive!. You may be ready to jump the same afternoon wearing a
student parachute system. Two instructors accompany you in freefall
for about 50 seconds from 13,000 ft.
Your instructor will remain
at your side throughout freefall, coaching you through the dive,
until you open your parachute. Then you will fly the parachute back
to the dropzone, coached from the ground via radio.
You will jump with two instructors for the first
three levels. Beginning with Level Four, one instructor will accompany
you on each jump until you graduate. When you have successfully
passed all your training jumps, you will be cleared to jump as a
solo student.
